How to make a Sarah Palin Costume

Sway the Red States With a Sarah Palin Halloween Costume

Sarah Palin took the political world by storm with her outsider political stance and her self-assured sex appeal. Dress as the famous VP candidate from the notorious Republican ticket with this easily assembled Sarah Palin Halloween costume.

Sarah Palin Costume Materials:

  • Long straight brown wig
  • Blue or red business suit skirt
  • Rectangular eye glasses
  • High heel shoes
  • Barrettes or hair clip
  • Stockings
  • Cardboard
  • Scissors
  • Safety pin
  • Make Your Own Sarah Palin Halloween Costume

Start by fixing your hair or wig into Sarah’s classic up-do style. Pull the sides of the wig towards the back of your head with your fingers and twist the hair in an upwards motion, securing it with a hair clip. You can also purchase an up-do wig with bangs to save extra time and make for an instant last-minute costume.

Once your hairdo is in place, wear the pantyhose and business suit to create the trademark Sarah Palin look. For extra effect, choose a suit in classic conservative Red and select red high heels to match. Use eyeliner and mascara to ensure your eyes “pop” from beneath the rectangular eyeglasses, and brush blush from your cheekbones to your chin to create a high-cheekboned effect. Decorate and cut out a circle of cardboard and attach the safety pin to the back of it to wear a McCain-Palin campaign button or a lapel pin proclaiming that you’re a “Hockey Mom!”
